ANDY IRVINE AT THE CLARE
You have to marvel at the musical grace of Andy Irvine. For the 60 or so people at the Clare Castle on Thursday 6 May it was one of those moments to be treasured.
And whilst the classics Arthur McBride and A Blacksmith Courted Me were among the standouts, his tribute to IWW man Tom Barker and another to Woody Guthrie continue to remind us of the importance of the political song.

Brian Sanaghan looks for a CD. He went home with that Paul Brady - Andy Irvine masterpiece from the 1970s. If you don't have it - Plains of Kildare, Arthur McBride, Streets of Derry - you are seriously mssing out.
