West Coburg in to grand final

On a cold windy Sunday at Buckley Reserve, West Coburg's Under 12s defied the odds and won a thriller against a fast finishing Hadfield. Both sides played with great spirit and tenacity, but on the day West simply stifled the running game of the skilful Hadfield.

Brandon and Darcy in the thick of it

Action a plenty. Yes, there was a great discrepancy in the free kicks in the first quarter, but all Dale said was 'you have to be first to the ball'. Kids need to learn that early on. Can't say as I was much good at biting my tongue. In fact, I think my first report was for abusive language, when I was about 17-years-of-age.

Kevin and Dale ask the boys for a big second quarter into the breeze.

The boys march off in solidarity

Winners are grinners

Now for the grand final.
