JOHN PASQUARELLI SAYS
Is there a new Nazism out there? The mad Greens (as distinct from
sensible environmentalists) act in a way that is reminiscent of
those Nazis who went out into the woods of Germany and embraced
nature in a strange and cultist way. These people went on to be
extreme totalitarians who would not tolerate debate and used any
means to silence their opponents and get their own way.
This political philosophy has apparently also infected the AFL
as demonstrated by the recent James Hird saga. Hird used his right
of free speech to criticise an umpire and was promptly frogmarched
off by the AFL Gestapo to make a series of grovelling public apologies.
Hird stupidly went along with this charade. He even nominated his
$20,000 fine and promised to help promote the cause of umpires for
the next three years.
University students are promising a month of mayhem
in their protest over the raising of fees. They have invaded university
administrations, intimidating staff and clashing with the police.
They have violently attacked those students who differ with them
- all good fascist stuff. The only things missing are the brown
shirts and the jackboots.
